About Rose

Rose’s journey began after relocating from a small Valley in Ohio to Southern California in the early 1980s. She remained in California for thirty plus years until her return to her hometown in late 2011. Although somewhat retired from the public sector, she will always remain a Speaker, Counselor and Educator. Rose sometimes works sometimes works as a substitute teacher for various school districts in the valley.

Rose is mother to three children, Steve, LaJuan (deceased 1973-1994) Chaunt’ie {pronounced Shauntay} and grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and eight great grands. During the thirty plus years that Rose lived and studied in Southern California, she obtained a double Master’s Degree in Education and in Counseling, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. She also obtained four credentials in Child Welfare and Attendance, Pupil Personnel Services, School Psychology, and Director of Child Care Facilities.
Rose attended California State University of Dominquez Hills and graduated with Honors. She has been passionate about teaching children and adults during the last forty years. She also enjoys writing books, singing in the choir at church, cooking. She is active in community organizations such as a Volunteer in the Notre Dame Mission Volunteers-Americorps Dress to Succeed Ministry, Sounding Board, an organization promoting and supporting children in the Arts programs.

Rose is a published author the children’s book series Dolly and the Roller Kids which has been distributed both national and international. Currently, she has written three more children’s books which she plans to publish in the near future. The characters in The Scene Seer are being re-visited in her current book in progress Titled Scene Seer Next Grayson’s Revenge.
